Medicine Use Reviews – Free*

Medicine Use Reviews are recommended for those who would like some free and reliable advice on their medicines use. Simply make an appointment with one of our pharmacists and, in confidence, they will take a look at the list of medicines you are taking and ensure that you are taking them in the most appropriate and effective manner. It may be that some drugs interact negatively or it may be that there are new, better alternatives for you today. Blood Pressure - Free
High blood pressure is a serious risk factor for heart disease and stroke and should not be left untreated. If you’re at all concerned about your blood pressure, book a free appointment with one of our pharmacists – it only takes a few minutes.

Full Health Check - £10 Introductory Offer
This valuable service will check your blood pressure, blood sugar, total cholesterol and Body Mass Index (BMI), all critical factors for avoiding heart disease.  Our pharmacist will evaluate and discuss the results and give you advice and ideas for reducing any risk.

Smoking Cessation – Free*
Smoking is considered a critical risk factor for heart disease and many other conditions.  If you’d like help to stop smoking, our pharmacist can support you with advice and nicotine replacement treatment of your choice. *This consultation is free and for those exempt from NHS prescription charges, nicotine replacement treatment is free for an initial period.

Flu Vaccination available from November 2012 to April 2013 - £12.50

Can you afford to be unnecessarily ill this winter? Flu is highly contagious and a simple vaccine is the best way to protect yourself. The best time to have a flu vaccination is in the autumn and from November we are offering flu vaccines for anyone who requests one (subject to suitability). Minor Ailment Services
Every year, millions of us visit our GP with minor health problems that our local pharmacist could resolve. Instead of waiting for a GP appointment – simply pop in and see us. All our pharmacists are trained to give advice or, where appropriate, prescribe medicines that will help with a huge range of minor ailments including:

We offer a full nursing home Medicines Management Services helping busy care homes with their complex prescription plans. Our service includes free delivery and advice as required.

Emergency Contraception on the NHS
The emergency ‘Morning after Pill’ is available from us and without prescription. Please contact us for further information.

Collection and Delivery
If collection of your prescription from the pharmacy is difficult for you, we should be able to help. We can pick up your prescription from your doctor, dentist or nurse and prepare it and/or deliver it free to local homes for customers who are housebound or live in warden-controlled accommodation. In the unlikely event that we don’t have your medication in stock, we can usually obtain it for you the very same day and if it is urgent, we can arrange special delivery from our wholesaler usually within two hours.
